RSCC MILITARY SEGMENT RECEIVES RAYTHEON IDS SUPPLIER RECOGNITION AWARD
On October 22nd, 2008 RSCC Military Segment participated in and was recognized by Raytheon IDS (Integrated Defense Systems) as one of their preferred suppliers of critical products in support of the DoD and in particular the US & NATO War Fighter. This third annual award ceremony held by Raytheon IDS at their world Headquarters in Tewksbury, MA is offered to a select group of suppliers who are evaluated annually in four "Key" areas. These Key areas of measurement are Product Design, Product Performance, Critical Path Delivery and pre/post support for Product Integration for Raytheon IDs Deliverables to DoD. RSCC and its Military Segment is a "3rd-Time" recipient in this three-year recognition program by Raytheon IDS. As Raytheon IDS has narrowed its supplier base and tightened qualification criteria each of the last three years RSCC has met and exceeded Raytheon¹s challenge to its supplier base. This program has three levels of recognition: "Three Star", "Four Star" and "Five Star". In 2007, RSCC's Military Segment worked very hard to maintain their "Four Star" recognition level. In an excerpt from discussions with RSCC's Military Business Unit Manager, Jack Griffin, the continued success of the Military Segment of RSCC can be attributed to "a recognition by all segment personnel as well as senior management in utilizing 6-Sigma & 80/20 principals every day in their areas of responsibilities. We recognize how crucial our product designs are in protecting our War Fighter in any theatre of activity. We take this responsibility very seriously!" "As RSCC Military moves forward and emerges as part of the fully integrated RSCC Military & Aerospace Company, a division of the RSCC Cable Group we will continue to raise our own level of performance to maintain this valued position and recognition with Raytheon IDS".
